Our Cross-Connection Control Technicians are
ASSE Certified.
Contact us and we will schedule an appointment with you to test your Backflow Preventer Assembly.
A Technician will arrive and make contact before setting up for the test.
Once permission is given, the Technician will briefly turn your water off to complete the test procedures for your Backflow Preventer Assembly.
All test results and observations of the area are reviewed with you.
A passing test report will be filed with your water supplier or other water authority and the valve will be tagged.
If a Backflow does not pass, Front Range will work with you and recommend a path forward. We want your valve to function correctly for many reasons and we can review some options with you. With cost and integrity in mind, we can propose a plan.
An ASSE Certified Tester will perform the Field Test procedures and file the Field Test Report with your water supplier or other water authority.
A Field Test is required to determine the working condition of your Backflow Preventer Assembly. The test can identify a failure but cannot determine the internal cause. To diagnose a failure, the Backflow Preventer Assembly must be opened and will require further water service interruption.
Repairs can be made at the time of the initial Field Test, or at a later date. Once arrangements have been made, the Technician will get permission to turn the water off for an additional service period.
Pictures are taken of any damaged parts causing failure. These will be archived and can be provided to our customer upon request.
Basic repairs are made such as replacing springs, rubber parts, seats and seals, check valves etc. These are fast repairs and the water can be restored relatively quickly.
In some cases, more extensive repair is required. This happens when the Assembly is not repairable due to body damage, pitting, seat profile erosion or excessive sediment build-up. In such a case, a quote will be provided for total replacement of your Backflow Preventer Valve Assembly.
An ASSE Certified Tester will perform the Field Test procedures and file the Field Test Report with your water supplier or other water authority.
